What if I told you that you might feel better about your loss experience if you understood what was happening to you? Grief is our internal and natural response to loss … and loss can be the death of someone we love, the ending of a relationship, the transition from one chapter of our life to what’s next, or any other ending that feels painful for you. Too often, people are shamed into silence, as openly speaking about death and loss is not something that is encouraged.
At Grief Unleashed, we hope to inspire greater grief and loss literacy and it starts now, here, with you. This Pebbles & Petals practice offers a practical way for you to name all the life losses you have experienced, along with some of your greatest moments. This practice allows us to make new meaning of our losses and supports a healthier way for us to be with our pain.
I suggest you complete this practice when you have time to be present to what might unfold. Remember, there is no reward for speed when it comes to discovering our inner truths. In my experience of working with the bereaved, this practice invites us to make peace with our grief and supports a new way of being with loss.
